The Department of Biomedical Science and Technology offers a bachelor's degree program featuring distinctive courses and research themes in biomedical science and technology.

Eligibility

The qualification of international students is subject to the regulation by the Taiwan Ministry of Education, the article of international students undertaking studies in Taiwan
The regulation on applicants who have dual nationality or annulled R.O.C nationality is specified in Article 2. Please check before applying.

 

Important Dates

In NSYSU, each academic year consists of two semesters, the Fall semester (September to January) and the Spring semester (February to June).
Fall 2025 /Spring 2026 Admission

Fall Admission
※Application submission period: January 15th ~ March 15th 2025.
※Admission announcement: Before June 5th, 2025.
※Semester begins in mid-September 2025 for all admitted applicants.

Spring Admission
※Application submission period: August 1st ~ September 30th 2025.
※Admission announcement: Before December 10th, 2025.
※Semester begins in mid-February 2026 for all admitted applicants.

On-line Application system

Applicants can apply for admission through the NSYSU online application system. 
Using an e-mail address to register, applicants can access the application forms and have to upload all required material before the deadline.

Bachelor Program

Fall 2025 /Spring 2026 Admission

Language of Instruction, and Requirement on Language Proficiency:  Some courses are taught in English, but not enough for graduation requirements: ■Chinese proficiency certificate required ■English proficiency certificate required

All the following documents should be submitted to the Office of International Affairs, NSYSU before the deadline

  1. Two (2) recommendation letters.     
  2. Study plan (including research plan) in Chinese or English.
  3. Autobiography in Chinese or English.
  4. English and Chinese proficiency certificate:
  • Minimum English proficiency: iBT-TOEFL of 61 / IELTS of 5.0.  (Those qualified for exemption should submit relevant certificates. Refer to 6. Application Materials section for details.)
  • Minimum Chinese proficiency: TOCFL score level 3, or HSK score level 5.

 If any discrepancy exists between the information above and the Admission Application Guide, the Admission Application Guidelines prevails.

※NSYSU academic year consists of two semesters (Fall & Spring).
※For NSYSU international and Mainland China bachelor students, the fifth academic year is registered as an extended study.
