Admission

The Department of Biomedical Science and Technology offers a bachelor’s degree program with distinctive interdisciplinary training in biomedical sciences and emerging medical technologies. The curriculum integrates foundational biomedical sciences with practical applications in diagnostics, biomaterials, and biotechnology research.

The program offers sufficient English-taught courses to fulfill major graduation requirements. Additional credits may be completed through courses offered by other departments.

系所或學程有足夠的英文授課課程可滿足系所專業課程之學分要求，其他課程可至外系修習。

Required application documents 申請所需文件

  1. Two letters of recommendation.
    推薦信兩封。
     
  2. Study plan or research proposal in Chinese or English.
    中文或英文留學計畫書（含研究計畫書）一份。
     
  3. Autobiography in Chinese or English.
    中文或英文自傳。
     
  4. English proficiency certificate (minimum requirement: TOEFL iBT 61 or IELTS 5.0).
    英語測驗證書。未符合免附英語能力證明標準者，成績須達：iBT-TOEFL 61分/ IELTS 5.0分以上。

English proficiency certification is required. However, applicants eligible for exemption must provide supporting documents.
申請者需繳交英文能力證書，若英語能力符合免繳標準者，需繳交相關證明。

Eligibility

Eligibility for international applicants shall comply with the regulations established by the Taiwan Ministry of Education regarding international students studying in Taiwan. Applicants with dual nationality or previous R.O.C. nationality should review the relevant regulations before applying.

 

Important Dates

NSYSU operates on a two-semester academic system:

  • Fall Semester/First Semester: September to January
  • Spring Semester/Second Semester: February to June

Fall 2026 Admission

  • Application Period: January 15, 2026 – March 15, 2026
  • Admission Results Announcement: Before June 5, 2026
  • Semester Begins: Mid-September 2026

 

Online Application

Applicants must complete the online application through the NSYSU Online Application System and upload all required documents before the application deadline.

 

Required Application Documents

All application materials must be submitted to the Office of International Affairs, NSYSU before the deadline.

Required documents include:

  1. Two letters of recommendation.
  2. Study plan or research proposal in Chinese or English.
  3. Autobiography in Chinese or English.
  4. English proficiency certificate.

*Minimum English proficiency requirements:

  • TOEFL iBT: 61
  • IELTS: 5.0

*Applicants eligible for exemption from English proficiency requirements must provide supporting documentation.
