📢 Campus Bus Timetable for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027 (Effective from September 7, 2026)

Subject:

The Campus Bus Timetable for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027 is attached and will take effect on Monday, September 7, 2026. All units are requested to assist in promoting this information and encourage faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and campus visitors to make greater use of the campus bus service. Please forward this notice accordingly.

Description:

1. The bilingual timetable for the campus bus service on working days during the semester (30 trips per day) is attached as Attachment 1. The NSYSU campus bus does not require EasyCard/iPASS card validation. Faculty members, staff, and students may ride free of charge by presenting a valid university ID.

2. The operating timetable for the privately operated Orange 1 and Orange 1 Extended shuttle bus routes (36 trips per day) is attached as Attachment 2. These routes depart from the metro station and travel through the campus residential area, the College of Liberal Arts, and the College of Marine Sciences, among other campus locations. Students may ride free of charge using the iPASS function on their student ID card (with a stored value greater than NT$0), while faculty members and staff may ride free of charge using their registered iPASS card.

3. Please distribute iPASS student ID cards to new students as early as possible and assist in promoting their use so that students may add stored value and enjoy free rides on the Orange 1 and Orange 1 Extended shuttle bus routes. During the transitional period from August 29 to September 11, 2026, NSYSU has coordinated with Kaohsiung Bus Company to verify new student ridership through onboard video records. New students may simply inform the driver that they are NSYSU freshmen without tapping their card.

4. To reduce traffic accidents, conserve energy, reduce carbon emissions, and minimize pollution, all units are requested to encourage faculty members, staff, students, and campus visitors to use private cars and motorcycles less and public transportation more, thereby helping maintain a safer and more sustainable campus environment.

5. All campus buses undergo routine cleaning and disinfection. Passengers are advised to wear a face mask when using public transportation. Eating and drinking are prohibited on all buses to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

6. NSYSU also provides a variety of transportation options on campus, including YouBike bicycle-sharing stations and rental electric scooters. Faculty members, staff, students, and visitors are welcome to make use of these services.
