Common Graduation Requirements for Bachelor's Program Students


A. General Education Seminar

Each student must attend 6 General Education Seminars which are approved by the SI WAN College:

B. Swimming Course & Test (choose either one to complete)

  1. Breaststroke 50m Test
  2. Take a swimming course in spring semester：
    SPORT & HEALTH: BASIC SWIMMING + Breaststroke 25m Test

 

C. English Course & Proficiency Certification (must complete both)

  1. English Course: At least 6 credits, reaching the High-Intermediate level or above.
  2. Proficiency Certification (choose one of the following two options)
  1. Pass one of the English proficiency tests with a score that meets the standard.
  • TOEIC Listening and Reading Test: 600
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Band 5
  • TOEFL iBT Test: 61
  • GEPT: High-Intermediate Level (First Stage)
  • TOEFL ITP Test: 500
  • TOEIC Speaking Test: 130 or TOEIC Writing Test: 130
  • BESTEP (BEST Test of English Proficiency) Listening and Reading: B1+
  • BESTEP (BEST Test of English Proficiency) Speaking and Writing: B1+
  1. Complete the English Learning Portfolio by accumulating 100 points.
     

D. International Learning & Interdisciplinary Learning (choose either one to complete)

  1. International Learning (complete one of the following)：
  1. Participation in an overseas exchange program or study program for at least one semester.
  2. Completion of at least 2 credits of overseas study courses approved by the Department.
  3. Participation in an overseas study program with a minimum of 36 learning hours.
  1. Interdisciplinary Learning (completion of one of the following programs at NSYSU or another accredited institution)：
  1. Minor Program
  2. Double Major Program
  3. Teacher Education Program
  4. Micro Program offered by NSYSU (the curriculum or faculty participation must involve intercollege collaboration)
