Subject: Online Inventory of Mental Health for Incoming Students in the 2026–27 Academic Year

Description:

  1. In response to the increasing number of students experiencing emotional distress and mental health crises in recent years, and in accordance with the Ministry of Education's Three-Tier Suicide Prevention Program for Students on Campus (which aims to identify students at high risk and provide timely intervention and counseling), the Inventory of Mental Health for incoming students is a mandatory measure upon enrollment.

  2. To improve the efficiency of the screening process, the Inventory of Mental Health for incoming students in the 2026–27 Academic Year will be administered online. Departments and graduate institutes are kindly requested to assist in promoting this assessment and remind students to complete it during the registration period.

  3. This year, no in-class assessment sessions will be arranged for individual departments or graduate institutes. If the response rate of students in any department or graduate institute remains unsatisfactory, the Office of Student Affairs will coordinate with the respective department or graduate institute to arrange an on-site assessment session.

  4. Incoming students may access the Inventory of Mental Health via the One-Stop Services System of the Office of Student Affairs. Please refer to the announcement on the webpage for instructions on completing the assessment.
