Description:

一、針對本校未有或僅略有中文語文能力之學位生，本校提供其修習通識教育之語文素養「中文思辨與表達」課程抵免管道如下：

For degree-seeking students at the University who have little or no proficiency in the Chinese language, the University provides the following channels to apply for exemption from the General Education Language Literacy course “Critical Thinking and Expression in Chinese”:

(一) 以華語教學中心課程辦理抵免，並由學生所屬系所協助提出申請（申請表如附件），開放申請對象：
(1) Exemption through courses offered by the Chinese Language Center (CLC), National Sun Yat-sen University (國立中山大學, NSYSU) – Students may apply for exemption via courses offered by the CLC, with assistance from their home department or institute in submitting the application (application form attached). Eligible applicants:

１、外籍學位生。

International degree-seeking students.

２、僑外學位生。
2. Overseas Chinese degree-seeking students.

(二) 以西灣學院基礎教育中心開設跨院選修（通）「閱讀中華寶島（課號：GEAI1083）」修習通過後辦理抵免，開放申請對象：
(2) Exemption through the cross-college elective course READING THE SINO-ISLAND (Course Code: GEAI1083) offered by the Center for Essential Education, Si Wan College – Students who pass this course may apply for exemption. Eligible applicants:

１、外籍學位生。

International degree-seeking students.

２、僑外學位生。
2. Overseas Chinese degree-seeking students.

３、凡於高級中等教育階段修業，以非中文為主要授課語言者（例如修習國際文憑課程〔International Baccalaureate, IB〕、自學符合同等學力、於外僑學校或國外高中畢業者）。
3. Students whose senior secondary education was conducted primarily in a non-Chinese language (e.g., students who completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, self-study meeting equivalent academic standards, or graduates of foreign schools in Taiwan or high schools abroad).

二、上述兩類課程之修課時數及成績，仍須符合「國立中山大學西灣學院辦理學生通識教育課程抵免學分審查原則」並於規定時間辦理抵免學分手續。
2. The course hours and grades for the above-mentioned courses must still comply with the National Sun Yat-sen University (國立中山大學) Si Wan College Guidelines for Credit Transfer Review of General Education Courses, and the credit transfer procedures must be completed within the prescribed time frame.
